Candace L. Strother- CEO

Driven by the desire to see women have a stronger sense of self-acceptance ignited Candace's vision for QueenLyfe Inc. In her pursue of purpose, Candace created the L.Y.F.E. acronym which stands for Love. Yourself. First. Everyday. Candace saw a need for women to reconnect to their birthrights as "Queens" by promoting the powerful message of self-love. When Candace became a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., she was able to experience and understand the power of collaboration and sisterhood.

A graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Candace earned a Bachelor’s of Sciences in Business Marketing, and holds over 15 years of experience within financial services. Because Candace understands the importance of financial literacy, and credit education, she is determined to equip her community with tools to make informed financial decisions.

Reginald C. Adams-Board Chair

Reginald C. Adams is a public artist, artrepreneur and community developer. He is best known for his award-winning tile mosaic murals and art installations, which are strategically located in some of Houston’s most historic and underserved neighborhoods. Adams fundamentally believes that everyone deserves access and exposure to the arts. He strives to engage the public in the design and production of his public art projects.

Over the past 20 years Reginald has facilitated the design, coordination and production over 200 public art projects across the Houston area and around the globe. These projects have been co-created with the involvement of over 38,000 area youth, artists and hundreds of community stakeholders.

Reginald is a Senior Fellow with the American Leadership Forum (ALF) Class 24 and Community Development Class I, an Alumnus of Leadership Houston and Past-President of the Rotary Club of Houston Skyline. In 2010, the Houston Press honored Reginald with their annual Mastermind Award, an honor recognizing creative professionals that are making a significant impact on the city of Houston through the arts.

Anika Mohammed-

Anika Mohammed serves as QueenLyfe Inc.'s  Treasurer with over 10 years of experience in Accounting/Finance in both the Investment and Energy sectors. She has a Bachelor of Accounting, and is currently pursuing the Certified Public Accountant designation. She is also a certified tax preparer with H&R Block. While completing her under-graduate degree, she received numerous scholarships in academia, including the Red Rose Scholarship awarded based on outstanding academic performance and community involvement. She served on the executive board of University of Houston – Downtown (UHD) Student Government as Treasurer and President, consecutively. She also served as the alumni representative for UHD’s commencement ceremonies from 2007 to 2011. As a child, her father told her a story of how our lives are inter-woven like the threads on a mat. All we do, good or bad, affects those around us. These words were taken to heart and have been the cornerstone of her life as she strives to positively impact those around her with her pragmatic yet nurturing personality. Born and raised in Trinidad and Tobago, Anika’s varied experiences and background adds to the diverse culture of the organization.

Amy Malkan-

Amy Malkan is a Houston native, public artist, and professional speaker.
Through her unwavering passion of self-development and ability to deliver powerful messages through a creative perspective, she created interactive, experiential, creative, team building workshops, The Malkan Group, LLC. These programs use various creative activities to make leadership concepts tangible, sustainable and applicable to everyday life, professionally and personally.
Through her art, she works with but not limited to acrylic, aerosol and mixed media to create fine art, commissions and public art for the community. When she creates every piece it is done with purpose and intention to transfer positive energy through the artwork. Her main objective is to empower the viewer to see a different perspective and
to recognize the potential within oneself. This is the philosophy of The Art of Leadership movement.

Seneca Dunmore-

Coined the “Pint-Sized Powerhouse”, Seneca Dunmore is a Motivational, Inspirational and Transformational Speaker, College Professor, Higher Education Connoisseur, Global Influencer, International Philanthropist, Servant Leader, Tireless Humanitarian, Ambassador of Self Empowerment and Catalyst for Change. She has a Bachelor of Science in Biology, a Master of Science in Management Information Systems and is currently completing her doctorate in Higher Education. She was recently inducted into the National Honor Society and has received numerous scholarships in academia to include the Tom Joyner Scholarship, Texas Business Hall of Fame and the 40 Under 40 Award. She believes that, “The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others”, as evident in her completion of 6 medical missions to Kenya, Angola and South Africa; where she, and numerous dedicated volunteers helped provide over 14M dollars in medical, dental, educational, and hygiene services to developing countries! Seneca is the principal speaker and owner of Seneca Dunmore, Inc., which was birthed out of her own health struggles and her desire to help others shift the paradigm of their thinking by realizing that they are more than their story.
